Electric hair removal, also known as thermolysis, is a permanent hair removal method that is particularly well-suited to facial hair removal, as it allows all types of hair to be removed from all types of skin, without the risk of paradoxical re-growth (re-growth linked to hormonal activity).

It can also be used to complete laser hair removal treatments.

Thermolysis rapidly destroys the hair bulb, eliminating hair for good.

The procedure involves introducing a sterile micro-filament into the hair follicle to send a light electrical impulse designed to destroy the bulb responsible for hair regrowth.

This technique has the advantage of working on all skin types, hairs, zones and phototypes.
Thermolysis also treats blond, white and red hair.

Duration of treatment: the duration varies depending on the area to be treated, but generally takes between 15 and 45 minutes.

Technique: after carefully cleaning the area to be treated, the session can begin. The patient may feel a slight tingling sensation. At the end of the session, a soothing gel is applied to the area.

Permanent hair removal can begin from the age of 18 to 20, at the end of puberty.

Once the bulb has been treated, the hair is removed.

At the end of the session, we observe a slight oedema around the follicles with a sensation of heat, and there may also be the formation of a small crust. These effects can be observed for 2 to 7 days after the sessions.

This technique requires several sessions, at least 5 spaced 1 week to 1 month apart. The number of sessions depends on the amount of hair and the physiology of each individual.

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Type 1 diabetes

• Certain treatments such as cortisone or anti-coagulants.

Avant :

• Arrêter toute épilation (cire et pince à épiler) au minimum 1 mois avant le début du traitement.
• Aucune exposition au soleil 1 semaine avant.
• Réaliser un gommage sur la zone à traiter 2 jours avant la séance.
• Hydrater un maximum la peau avec une crème non grasse.

Après la séance :

• Appliquer une crème réparatrice et solaire pendant 1 semaine.
• Pas d’exposition au soleil jusqu’à cicatrisation complète, pour éviter les pigmentations superficielles.
