Often referred to as Botox®, botulinum toxin interacts with the muscle responsible for the wrinkle and reduces its activity. This treatment is particularly effective on crow’s feet, frown lines and forehead lines. It also has indications in the treatment of ageing of the lower face, or in the context of excessive armpit sweating.
In the face, the fine muscles are finely interwoven with the skin that covers them – hence the name “skin muscles”. Through their contractions, they are responsible for the formation of “folds”, allowing for expressiveness. With time and continued contractions, these “folds” become more or less permanent, becoming wrinkles. However, the aim is not to obtain a static and “frozen” face, but one that retains its capacity for movement and expressiveness with a “natural” appearance.
A RELAXED FACE
Botulinum toxin allows the muscular “balance” to be restored, which can be disturbed. These injections can be carried out in addition to other surgical procedures (facelift, blepharoplasty, etc.) or medical procedures, such as hyaluronic acid injections, which can be carried out during the same session. Botox® injections do not cause irritation or inflammation, and no social eviction is required.

Volumizers such as hyaluronic acid are used to treat wrinkles by filling the space deep inside them. These products are also used to restore volume to the face, such as cheekbones, hollow cheeks or lips. Cellular ageing is delayed by collagen and hyaluronic acid.
This is a natural component of the skin, which, due to its high capacity to fix water molecules, ensures good hydration and elasticity of the skin. During cosmetic surgery, the hyaluronic acid used is now obtained by synthesis in the laboratory, thus without any foreign body or animal component. Bad tolerance reactions to the product are therefore very rare.

Hyaluronic acid is thus the reference product in terms of filling and “smoothing” wrinkles and fine lines.
