La cryolipolyse ou Coolsculpting est une technique médicale, sans chirurgie ni incision, qui permet de détruire les cellules graisseuses sous l’action du froid.

Cette technique n’est pas une méthode d’amincissement, mais permet de travailler sur des zones disgracieuses localisées.

Elle ne fait pas perdre du poids mais permet de réduire le volume d’une zone localisée d’environ 30% qui résiste au sport et à l’alimentation.

A system of cold and suction combined with suitable applicators enables a large number of areas to be treated. The cold can vary from -8° to -12° depending on the skin and the area. An initial information appointment with a specialist nurse is necessary for a personalised assessment.

Duration of treatment: The duration varies depending on the area to be treated, but it generally takes 1 hour 15 minutes for 1 area and 2 hours 30 minutes for 2 areas.

Technique: Personalised measurements and photos are taken, as well as drawings of the areas to be treated. Once the treatment has begun, a sensation of cold and tingling may be felt. The cold “numbs” the areas to be treated and the sensations diminish as the treatment progresses.

Once the treatment is over, the assistant will massage the treated areas to revitalise your skin and break up the fatty deposits to encourage elimination. The massage can be sensitive, with a local burning sensation that subsides in about 10 minutes.

You will be given a personalised estimate at your first information appointment with a specialist nurse, under the supervision of a doctor. This appointment is used to determine the areas and the feasibility of the treatment. The doctor will validate the treatment either at the consultation appointment or during the session.

You should avoid having a session just before going out in the sun, as the areas cannot be exposed to the sun as long as they are red or with haematomas.

The results are not immediate: the fat cells destroyed by the cold will gradually be eliminated naturally by the body over 3 months.
A sensation of cold may be felt after the treatment, and you may also notice haematomas, bruising and redness. These reactions are normal and will pass over time. Sensations of tingling, pins and needles and disturbances of sensitivity linked to the cold will pass within a few weeks. However, there are no post-treatment contraindications and life can resume as normal from the same day.
At 3 months, a post-treatment consultation is carried out to assess your satisfaction and the results of the treatment. Photos and measurements will allow a before/after comparison.

Before:
Eat a healthy, balanced diet
Stay properly and regularly hydrated (about 1.5 litres a day)
Get quality, recuperative sleep
Regular exercise (cardio and muscular)

After the session:
Drink about 2 litres of water or an unsweetened draining drink for 2 to 3 days to kick-start the draining of dead fat cells.
Possibility of massaging the treated areas every day for about 15 days (5 min) to encourage cell elimination.
Paying attention to your diet and practising physical activity will help to achieve better results
Apply an arnica-based ointment if necessary to limit unpleasant sensations in the areas treated.
